NO TRAUMA CENTER IN CHESTER COUNTY (public service announcement)
Did you know that Chester County DOESN’T have a trauma center? If you are critically injured in a serious accident, your best chance for recovery is getting to a trauma center within one hour – The Golden Hour. But if you live in Chester County, chances are you won’t get there in time because you have to be transported out of the county. In fact, last year this took an average of 70 to 75 minutes. This serious threat has leaders and residents concerned. It’s about time you’re concerned too.
It’s about time we all learn the difference between an emergency room and a trauma center as well as the risks we all face without a trauma center. It’s about time for you to know the costs to establish a trauma center at the Brandywine Hospital or The Chester County Hospital. Join community leaders in the Chester County Trauma Center awareness campaign. Look for the Golden Hour logo at events throughout the summer and fall and visit www.cctrauma.org <http://www.cctrauma.org> for more information. It’s about time.
